1) IRA Contributions
Let’s get those retirement accounts funded for both 2020 and 2021! For both years, the IRA limit is $6k per person per year ($7k per year if you are over 50). For 2020 contributions, the deadline is 4/15/2021.
2) Self-employed retirement plans*
With 2020 over, now is a good time to figure out how much you can put into your company retirement plan (e.g., solo 401k, SEP IRA). Typically, you have until the normal tax filing deadline of April 15th plus extensions to fund these types of plans.
